Axe-Fx III MIDI questions

Hey guys,
So Im preparing a live set and programming a bunch of patch changes for the songs.

A couple of questions.

Firstly, there seems to be a little silence and delay switch between scenes. Many of the scenes are switching channels. I think I read this will be cured in the next firmware update. Is that true and possible? If not, I may not be able to use this thing live.

Second, I am adding events to a midi file to change patch number, and then multiple scenes. It is all working when I start a song from the beginning then send a program change, then a Scene change. Im using #110 for scenes, so say I send #110 2, this would then choose scene 3. Problem is, if I stop play somewhere, and start it, I guess its reelecting the last program change selected, which then changes the scene to its default setting for that patch. Is there a way for it to not change the scene unless it gets a new scene number, or to set it to not change the patch until it sees another program change.?

Or maybe it is something to be set in the midi file, but Im not sure how that would be done.

Thanks guys.

That would make sense, but even when I switch it to YES, it still reverts to the default scene. Maybe Protools keeps sending it... Not sure.

I have the exact same thing going on with my midi controller when I send a PC with CC value for scene change. Even with ignore redundant PC set to Yes. Makes no difference. My II did not do this. My only gripe so far. It’s fine if I turn off PC change all together and just send CC values for scene select within a patch. Thankfully I can get through a gig on one patch.

Ignore Redundant PC is supposed to ignore a PC if it is redundant, meaning you are already on the same preset.

If that is not working, then perhaps there is a bug with that feature since two people are reporting it.

I won't be able to test until tomorrow... Maybe someone else can confirm?
