A lot of new Axe II owners ask questions about how to lay out their patches on the grid. Using a template is a great way to gain some consistency in your grid across multiple patches. Here is a template example that I use for most of my patches. Obviously, your grid may be different...IE different FX, 2 amps/cabs, etc. but hopefully this might give newcomers some ideas when making their own grid template, especially if they've never used a programmable DSP unit before and are used to regular amps. Of special note is the use of the "Send/Return" blocks to extend your serial layout.
