I Picked up a K-12 and want to the best way to reconfigure my rig. Need some advice.

Previous Set-up:
  • Axe-FX direct to FOH
  • Most patches are stereo L&R to FOH
  • IEMs from board to monitor

Desired set-up:
  • AXE-FX to K-12 for guitar stage monitor
  • K-12 to FOH

Option 1: Run AXE-FX balanced out L&R to A and B channels of K-12 (I believe K-12 will sum stereo into mono). Send XLR to FOH from K-12 Sum output. I'm ok with sending mono to FOH
Option 2: Rework all my stereo patches to mono and run a single Axe-FX balanced out to K-12 channel B. Then run K-12 Channel B out to FOH
Option 3: ????

thanks

Why bother summing to mono at the K-12?

You could set the Axe Fx to use Output 1 Mode as SUM L/R. Send one side to the K-12 and one to FOH ;)

That’s an interesting option. Supposedly the K12 mirrors the output in each side which would prevent me from reaching around the back of the AxeFX. Smart man. Thanks

Output 1 to k12
Output 2 to foh set to copy output 1
Leaves you able to independently control k12 volume from axe
Up to you if you send mono or stereo to either

Same as above, ran for 10+ years. separate to k12 and FOH so you can adjust levels without worrying blowing out the FOH. Still do the same with my III.
