I'm a novice when it comes to this stuff, but I've noticed that whenever I set up my Axe FX II for MIDI interaction with Cubase Pro (such as sending the tempo track via MIDI, re-amping guitar audio, etc) that when I press play in my DAW the track will play for some time but eventually hang. In the case of Cubase the audio will continue playing until the end of the current track, and the sound meter in Cubase will work, but none of the buttons work and the program is essentially frozen. If I cycle power to the Axe FX II this causes me to regain control of Cubase, but obviously this makes the whole process not worthwhile.
Based on the fact that an Axe FX II power cycle seems to give me control of Cubase again, I'm tempted to think there's a MIDI handshake issue going on between my computer and the Axe FX, but I don't know how to troubleshoot it further.
