Axe Fx II as USB interface

hello i am new user for axe fx ii
i have got a question i am really worry about this please help me here
when i connect usb and recording with axe, i can only do recording,
i mean i cant stream audio as i recording.
I want to play over backing track but i cant
is it not possible or i am doing something wrong ?
