I play keys in my one band in addition to guitar. I use mainstage on my macbook and have a saffire pro interface that I use for the audio. Everything was working at home. Packed up and after setting up at the gig noticed my interface was not linking or being recognized. Swapped cables...etc. and no luck. After 45 minutes of trouble shooting and looking through my gig bag for just a Headphone out (1/8) Y adapter with no luck. It dawned on me, I can run it all through the axe fx. Just made sure the levels coming from the mac were pushed a bit more to match my guitar on the VU meters and I was set.
Not completely ideal for the sound tech since we have two guitars but a few minor adjustments on our in-ear rig and it sounded great through the ears. A bit stressful but luckily kept thinking. It helps to know your gear.
