axe fx and monitor ?s

Just got my standard yesterday... played with it quite a bit. Very cool box! I ran the stereo XLRs into my Korg D3200 and put on headphones... I was amazed at how much 'fuzz' there is around the notes and fx on the line 6 gear. I've owned a Vetta, Pod XT, Pod XTL, Pod, J-Station, the Yamaha DG-stomp, and the axe is so much clearer sounding.

However, I plugged in my KRK Rokit8 powered monitors directly to the axe-fx, it still sounded ok, there was a... almost 'out of phase' thing going on. A real slight comb filter effect. Any ideas on getting rid of this?

I have several options for running this thing - but I'm thinking I should tweak my patches for the KRK's if I want to go direct to a PA live, right?

I'm also thinking of doing a 4 cable setup with my Bogner Ecstasy (I used to do it with my Boss GT8, so I'm familiar with how that works) and also trying just the Axe-FX with a Randall RT2/50 power amp and a guitar cab.

I guess having a Vetta years ago was good practice for this, I'm still learning but it's not that hard to navigate.
