Axe-Edit keeps losing USB connection

Don't know if that is an issue on Apple products, but take note!
For the longest time I didn't have either of my Macs reset that, but…

An OS update a while back on my MacBook Air reset the setting but it didn't reflect the change in the interface. The modeler was dropping the connection when the MacBook went to sleep, so I ignored the UI and toggled the setting, and it fixed the problem.

I typically load the Beta versions of macOS on that computer because it has the M2 chip in it so it gives me a bit of an advance warning if there's a problem with Fractal's Edit or Cab-Lab apps. It's possible that the disconnect between the setting and the UI was a bug in the Beta because I didn't notice it happening on my iMac Pro which runs the regular/released OS updates.

Yeah, yeah. This is still annoying. Just now Axe-Edit III had been disconnected. The hub is connected to a thunderbolt hub. Every other device on that hub is working. I unplugged/replugged the USB cable several times, quit/powered on Axe-Edit. The only thing that brought it back was quitting the Axe Fx III. It seems obvious that something changed in the last few updates because I never had this problem before. Not exactly sure which button you're referring to in Mac Preferences. In the Energy pane? "Put drives asleep when possible?" "Prevent automatic sleeping when display is off?" No.
