Recently started jamming with a band and want to use my AX8 through a cab......so of course read up on all the recommended and somewhat expensive options, but just settled on looking for something that had enough power and flat response.
Pleasantly surprised by the Alesis RA-100 I snagged for under 2 bills with shipping. 100 watts into 4 ohms and 75 into 8...was not disappointed at all with the volume I get at 8ohms through a 4x12. 75 watts/channel (playing into stereo cab) seems like puuuhlenty of volume and it reproduces the tones I heard through my monitors. Some adjustments will be required on the low/highs when cranking up, but overall was very happy with what I got for my money. Didn't notice any head room issues either.
