AX 8 using exclusively for effects

I would like to use my Fractal AX 8 only by using the effects.
How ( i mean the exact steps ) can i switch CAB and AMP off? Further, do i have to use any other output or is it enough to switch it off ?
I havent found anything in the owners MANUAL.

Just build presets without amp and cab blocks, simple as that.

You have to adjust the effects to your taste of course, but yeah it's isn't more complicated than that
