Attempt at the Load rhythm sound

Hey guys... I've just loaded my guitar with a EMG 60/81 and decided to try my hand at Metallica's Load rhythm tone using the axe... Not an exact match by any means, but sounds good to my ears... lemme know

Sounds pretty right on to me. To nitpick, the clip could use a tiny bit more thickness, but the basic voicing and feel is spot on.

Yep, you've got a good basis for that sound but to my ears it has way too much mids. Try a GEQ block with a smiley-face curve. If there's one in the chain already cut the mids more dramatically. In the original there's some high-frequency string rattle which I've always found hard to dial in on the Axe (I was trying to get this when I made my Bastille Day patch). What amp type are you using there?
