atomic FR active cab's crackling sound, even when axe fx turned off

Hi guys,

I have been very happy with the Axe Fx ultra + Atomic FR active cab combo.

However in the past few days, the cab has been making crackling sounds that are quite invasive and annoying. The cab makes these same sounds even when the axe fx is turned off, which leads me to believe it is an issue exclusively related to the Atomic cab.

Any idea on what s going on and on how to fix the issue?

Oh boy not what I need to read the day before I receive my new active Atomic cab! Could it be a bad cable or dusty input or something?

How old? Sorta sounds like a dying power tube.

Maybe a moisture/humidity issue? You sometimes get this with old Fender amps when the circuit fiberboard gets damp from humidity.

sounds like a tube to me...

how many hours do you have on it? most probably the tubes if you've used it alot. Even if you haven't used it alot it may still be tubes. Tubes are weird you never know when or where they will go out. If your like me they always go out at the show.
