ART X-15: control questions

Howdy,
Found one of these locally for cheap and had a question: will I be able to control the looper functions with this controller when it's in "effects" mode? (stomp box mode basically).

Bought it.
Does loops like a champ.
Buttons are a little cramped and hard to press, but guessing I'll get used to it.

Cool thing: while it can't do effects mode and preset bank mode at the same time, the "mode" switch button is one push, so you could theoretically do both on the fly with a bit o' tap dancing.

For $60, it's a keeper.
