Are new amps really needed?

I used to play a Cornford RK100 with his 2x12 v30 RK
So I want the Cornford RK100 with his own 2x12 signature series modeled in my unit

The Cornford RK100 was in the previous models so why this FABULOUS Cornford RK100 is not in the actual line of products

Did I told you I wanted to have a Cornford RK100 and his 2x12 modeled ??

In what "previous models" are you referring to?

It was not in the Axe Fx II or AX8.

There's a Cornford in there, but not the RK...

They could hit on all those bass amps that keep getting requested, and do a bunch of presets with them. That’s an area that might benefit some players. Never hurts to keep the low end pumping.

I‘m never going to complain about being gifted more options. Many of the things I use today in my patches I’ve never used except in my FAS gear. I wouldn’t have even known to ask for them, though they perfectly suit my needs, simply because I didn’t know they existed and/or had the opportunity to try them. It was FAS giving me something I didn’t even know I wanted that got me taken care of in these instances.

It‘s free when you get them… why even question that?

CORNFORD RK100
Based on a boutique British amplifier, the Cornford RK100, which is said to have a Plexi-Meets-Modern tone and feel with both subtlety and big cojones

  • Original amp: single channel 100w head, with switchable "hot" control
  • Cabinet suggestion: V30
  • Original controls: Presence, Bass, Middle, Treble, Gain, Volume
  • Turn down Bass and/or Depth to reduce boominess

I had one for years and the description is perfect.
It’s’ a modern plexi on steroids. Unbelievable dynamic

I have the VL1002 sitting behind me as well as GP/BP/SP 1000s lol
I have not had the pleasure of playing through those, I heard they are a lot more aggressive sounding. Have you played through the XLS 1000? For me that is the most underrated Marshall, hot rodded Marshall, black face Fender amp around and the knobs go to 12! ;) I had one for my analog rig for a few years, sometimes I really miss it.

Yes. I'd love to see a Brunetti amp of some kind in the Fractal. I've not played one but have heard Dave Kilminster live with Roger Waters playing though one and his tone was to die for IMO. Now that is a tone I'd like to be able to get on the FM3/FM9...oh yea.

I've not done a deep dive into how/why a Brunetti may differ from other amps and variants and how to possibly get a similar tone with existing amps, but suspect there is something unique about this amp/topology/circuitry/voicing, as even in compressed, lo-fi YouTube recordings of RW live there is something I absolutely love about it's tone that comes through.

Lotta great boutique high-gain amps out there these days. Would love to see a KSR, a Revv, a Driftwood, and a Red Seven. But of course you can get 90% of the way there with existing models so they're all "that'd be nice to have," not "I am furious these models aren't included."

Ok... That's from the first generation Axe Fx.

Instead of more amp models being added I would rather have existing models and their separate push pulls/switches be consolidated into one amp model. Also any that are missing also be added.

That is pretty far back, but interesting a model was dropped. I wonder if any other models didn't survive through the generations?
From that list, at least the following don't and have not since I started using the Axe Fx almost 10 years ago:

= LANEY GC30V
Based on the marriage of a USA style pre-distortion tone-stack, British voicing and Class A power amp. Great for lower-gain leads with nice sustain qualities

  • Cabinet suggestion: none
  • Based on Vox AC30
  • Original controls: Drive, Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume. No Bright

= EGNATER REBEL 20
Based on the Egnater Rebel 20 20W amplifier head, offering perfect proof that good things really DO come in small packages, (or in this case, DSP packages)

  • Cabinet suggestion: something that sounds like a Celestion Elite 80
  • Original controls: Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, Master. Tight and Bright switches
  • Cliff: "It's just a Blues Jr. with no negative feedback"

There are some others that I suspect "evolved" since then. There's a couple Dumble models apparently made only with schematic...

Also, not sure about this one:

FAS HELLBEAST= FRACTAL AUDIO SYSTEMS: CUSTOM MODEL
A radical custom amplifier model designed with an unconventional tone-stack by Fractal Audio Systems
  • No equivalent original amplifier
  • Cabinet suggestion: none

Seriously considered buying one of those Fortin Meshuggah amps just to mail it to Clint so he could put it in the AxeFX lol
You can easily get there with the Cameron CCV as a starting point. It is basically if an angry Marshall and a Mesa Mark V had a child amp. In Yek's guide it is said "It is one pissed off amp". I can agree with that statement. Use the depth knob or a mark V post eq and boost a little 250 to bring the low end up and you should have a great starting point. Maybe a Mesa oversized cab if you don't want to do the post eq or depth.

I think so. While I love everything that's there, there's a big gaping hole with regards to the Victory amp lineup (Kraken, Copper, Sheriff, Duchess, Jack etc). Mezzabarba MZero would be nice and my personal favourite Class A amp, the Laney Lionheart (50w or 20w, I don't mind). Would absolutely love the Laney to appear in a FW update one day.
