Apple Silicon

Hang in there. I was at about 5 years to go, and hating it, and my girlfriend pointed out that the difference between waiting and quitting "now" was not much money per month.

I quit the next week. It's been WONDERFUL.
Hoping to get hired as FTE where I am now, so that I have some kind of semi-decent health insurance, and maybe bonus again. Contract company offers BCBS of TX, which works about as well as their power grid. $3500 out of pocket before they cover anything at all. Basically, it gets me the 1095 form for tax time so I don't have the IRS on my ass for not having health insurance, and not much else.

Don't have much put away, but have a very small pension from the years spent working at the college, some 401k from the last job, and SS if they actually manage not to rip us all off and cancel it. Trying to get to a paid off living space with major items like car, heat pump, etc. in good shape and good to go long term while I have income. Hoping I don't end up having to sell everything and live in a van....
