Anyone using a Trainwreck as their Marshall?

Long story short…
Bought the Austin Buddy package…
Stared messing with different amps…
My “new” cover gig amps are the dweizel Zappa amp, Trainwreck and SLO…
Would never have guessed that combo..
(Accept the SLO) had a Hotrod25 for a while great amp…

Just curious thoughts on the Trainwreck

It does some good Pearl Jam tones… we do Betterman and starting to add Alive

Cornfed is mine. Mostly. I haven't dove into the Wrecker style amp models very much, but the bit I have has yielded some fantastic gain tones. I have two friends who build amps and both of them put Ken Fisher at pinnacle of amp design.

I use the Dr Z amps for nearly everything. However, TrainWreck amps are spectacular. In the absence of the Rte 66/Maz 8/Maz 38 I'd use the TrainWreck and Dirty Shirley - HotCat and Carol Ann would be the other two on the short list.

Same here… but as I was “clicking” through the AB presets… the TW was the sound I needed as an in between or almost…AC/DC tone…as I call it…
