Anyone using a buffer in front of the Axe-Fx?

I've got a really nice buffer amp/line driver that I've been using with my legacy pedalboard. Since I'll be running at least 40' of instrument cable from guitar thru new pedalboard and out to the rack, I'm thinking I'll keep the buffer onboard. Anybody have experience running a buffer in front of the Axe-Fx? Pros? Cons?

Well , I have used a boss tuner in front of the axe, before I bought the mfc. That is the same thing.
It works as good in front of the axe as in front of any amp, keeping the treble intact with a little help from the low impedance .
I don't like long cables before the buffer though.
