Anyone tried the Lace Alumitone Deathbucker?

I have one in a strat style guitar. I like it.

It's actually Gaelic on the strap. That's the handywork of Brian over at http://www.anthologygearwear.com/ I can't say enough good things about his work.

The guitar is a Les Paul BFG silverburst. They were a limited run a few years back.

I should've aksed what music those who have them play. ?

@shemihazazel: how is that working for you in the neck position? Is there a noticeable volume difference between it and the bridge?

It's not a deathbucker in the neck. It's their Alumitone P-90 model. Yes, there is a volume difference, but only about what you'd expect.

Shemihazael: did you change your fingerboard to ebony? If so, aren't you concerned about affecting the value of a limited edition guitar?

With the standard humbuckers I can do any style/sound. The coil tapping is amazing. So many sounds out of my guitars now!

I tried the alumitones and don't care for the basic sound of any of them - they are also not totally quiet as the ads suggest....
