That tone, especially the first scene, is way too gated for my taste. Sounds gnatty and farty. Especially considering how little gain he's using. Some nice dynamics rolling the volume.

I think he uses a Hughes and Kettner tubemeister. I am his friend on Facebook and I always ask him about his tone. Most of the time he doesn't use a Drive pedal. Just the gain right from the Amp. But yeah, Guitar shredshow is the first hilarious vid of saw of him. Back in 2002 or so....Great guy too. Always responds to my questions .
