Any compatibility issues with files shared between Mac and PC?

I am running Axe-Edit and Fractal-Bot on a Windows 7 PC connected to my Axe FX II. I recently started working on an iMac and may occasionally download updates there and sync them (via Dropbox) to my "Axe-Connected PC". Are there any issues with binaries (e.g. .sysx files, firmware, presets, drivers, etc...) being downloaded to a Mac, but used on a PC?

.syx files and the like, no, because they are pure binary files.

Text files seems to be the ones which can suffer when moved across platforms, due to the way the carriage return/linefeed at the end is handled in each O/S.

I've done what you have described here, i.e. copied lots of cab IRs and firmware updates and user presets onto a DropBox folder and shared them between my MacBook Pro and Windows 7 laptop with no ill effects...
