I love Mike Stern. And I think he’s one of a select few that can write great jazz tunes with a rock beat. I hear a liitle Weather Report in what he does and I still miss Jaco. But dam, you must give it up for Michael Brecker, the guy gives me chills when he plays....son of a gun. :)
 
Mike is an awesome player. Such a great ear. I have been listening to a lot of Lee Ritenour lately. Another great player. There is a You-Tube video of Lee and Mike that is really great. It was filmed in a small club in Japan. Check it out when you have some time. It captured some great performances.

Lee is as good as it gets...Wes Bound is a treat...and his take on Stolen Moments is just beautiful.
