The first FRFR cabs I built were a great success and Ive sold them on to another happy Fractal user So I decided to up the ante with a 2x12 cab for more punch.
Like the last cabs the drivers were out of my favourite budget speakers the Alto Elvis series passives. Ill be running this box with custom a crossover as the two 12" drivers are in parallel at 4 ohms and the compression driver is at 8 ohms. Should pad down the highs nicely running the compression driver at half the ohmage of the bass drivers. Power is coming from my Matrix GT800fx.
Im going for the oversized 2x12 Bogner look and I think its quite a spiffy looking cab so far. Recessed handles and rear input plate also make it look a little more pro.
Plenty more to do before I get sound but at least most of the Tolex is out of the way.
