amp re-setting question

Every time I decide to choose a new amp in a preset it retains the settings from the previous amp. Is there a setting somewhere that keeps this from happening. I just want the new amp selected to go to stock settings. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks Jeans.

I guess placing a shunt in place of the amp and then reselecting the amp block is what I was looking for. Thank you so much.

I don't think that will reset any parameters. Just keep the amp block in the grid and double-tap "bypass" or use Axe-Edit's reset command, as the linked section states.

It only retains some of the settings, mostly the basic tone controls. As mentioned, just use the Block reset, which really only resets the XY you’re currently viewing.
