amp feedback

I just received my FXII XL and have been playing with various elements. I apologize if this is a stupid question, but I'm wondering how and how close to real amp feedback would be accomplished. That sound when you turn the amp up to the point that you can initiate acoustic feedback easily. Anyone tried this or know how?

Basically you have to have some volume from your speakers whether it be cab, FRFR, studio monitors...etc. doesn't work with headphones.

I get feedback with FRFR even on low volumes , with some gain and lots of mids...

It can absolutely be done with headphones. Turn them up loud and stick them in front of the pickups.
