Amp Factory Cabs: what's in that photo

solo-act

Fractal Fanatic
If you're like me, you saw the TAF cabs photo and thought, "OK, what exactly am I looking at?"

And if you loaded the 10 free Ultraz cabs, the mystery deepened.
Unlike Fractal, TAF only put speaker size/config in some of the cab names, and not at the start of the cab name. I literally did not know what I was listening to.

So I slapped something together. Feel free to add any info.
The 1x12 Blackshadow and the 1x12 Rockdriver Cream are missing from the photo.

1X12 Blackshadow
- Mesa Boogie, maybe a C90, the most common one
- C90 is Mesa version of a Celestion Lead 80
- Heavy speaker, can handle a lot of power
- Great with Mark IV and in 1x12 Thiel Cabs

1x12 Rockdriver Cream
- Used in some Hughes & Kettner amps, a favorite of Rush's Alex Lifeson
- Developed with Eminence, it's a mid-atlantic blend combining best of American and British tonal properties
- Custom made(?) to go with H&K 6L6 amps

I'm using the Lemur Axe-Fx editor to select/audition cabs. Drag cabs into AE, send to Axe-Fx, select the user cabs button in Lemur and touch "load user cab names". This screenshot shows Factory cabs, but you get the idea.

In AE, the cab list closes every time you select a cab.
In the Lemur editor, the cab list stays open until you click OK.
Just play and touch cabs until you hit one you like. This is Lemur V4.1.2 on iPad iOS 6.1.3 running the 3.06 template in my sig.

If you want your User UR cabs color coded, you'll need to rename starting with 1x12, 4x12 etc. and the Lemur template will auto-assign colors for you. This shows Santiago cab is selected.

I'm just getting started with User Ultrarez, but here's my User Cabs window. All but Fractal are re-named to be readable, and Lemur color-coded them for me.
