Two questions regarding the amp block drive vs. separate drive block:

1. How many db do you usually get with a TS808/Maxon with the volume all the way up?

2. What are the settings for the TS in the amp block drive section?

I’ve noticed the built-in OD in the amp block sounds better than a separate drive block and also seems to push harder.

Also curious about how many db boost you get from a traditional TS808 because the AFIII gives you the option of a crazy amount. Want to see how the amp responds when I keep the db boost accurate to the real deal.
 
You can test 1.) by using the synth block to generate a tone and running that into a drive block at the desired settings. Use the preset levelling utility in edit to give you a rough idea. Just keep in mind the TS has a "mid hump" style frequency response so it's not a flat boost.

Otherwise just dial it to where you like it - we're not constrained by the limitations of pedals when playing the Axe.
