Ambient/Percussive delayed clean sounds...

Hey guys,

Help me find some good presets?
Before I start, I play through a single Mackie HD1221. For my "sounds", think along the lines of...
Dream Theater, Karnivool, Dead Letter Circus, Tool, Devin Townsend.

Ok, so I've been messing around for hours, but I'm still not content.
When I was using a Line 6 Spider (which sucked) there was a preset called "another brick in the wall". It was a delayed ambient clean sound with lots of delay. I'd turn up the gain on that preset and play palm-muted percussive delayed riffs, with lots of layers and octaves.
I'd roll the gain (or volume) back and get beautiful Petrucci-esque cleans.
I've found that the AXE FX has so many options/parameters I get lost when trying to create these clean sounds in my head.

Please help me

This machine simply blows my mind, I can't wait until I know my way around it inside-out.

A few more hours tweaking today. I'm frustrated, yet captivated... this thing is amazing!
I'm slowly getting better at tweaking this thing. I still can't dial in a good dual rectifier tone to save my life, but that's ok since I've never really like dual rectifiers anyway.

I think the hbe cleans up nice on volume reduction
