Always wanted to know the answer to this.

I've upgraded to the latest firmware and its fantastic. My question is in regards to old presets posted by others. Are patches made by Misha and Jake Bowen ect at this point completely useless ? They won't sound the way they were originally intended but will noise gate settings/effects be correct? For me artist patches have been great learning tools just to get into the mind of how these guys get their sounds. Just curious. Thanks guys!

They sound different, but its subjective if its "useless" or not. I've had some old patches sound better on newer FW based upon my subjective opinion.

Patches need to be tweaked to taste 99% of the time anyways, for differences in guitars, pickups, ideas of a "good" tone, so I don't write off older patches just because I may need to adjust them a bit, as for me that is a given even on the same FW
