I have decided to go the route of using per preset switches for every preset on my FM3 since I rarely need exactly the same thing from preset to preset; some presets have several scenes, some have one scene and effects, etc.
The problem is that I use the Per Preset Layout (#6, I believe) and as such, if I have a preset where the ONLY thing I need to do is toggle between scene 1 and 2, I can just do that with one footswitch. I'd prefer if the others were blank, but instead, the others say "Per Preset #2" and "Per Preset #3." I realize I could eat up 3 layouts and make each one with progressively one more per preset footswitch with the others blank, but that seems kind of clunky.
I would like the ability to go in and customize the readout for these two (or one, whatever) footswitches that I'm not using and just make them blank or whatever. As it stands, you cannot currently change the custom label for unassigned footswitches.
