classic! - the kiss! - probably the pinnacle moment of the series. I recall the buzz around the show as a 12/13yo at the time (around 73 I think it 1st aired). My parents/aunts/uncles were all talking about it. It was one of those things where everyone was waiting to hear what Archie would say next. There's been few similar examples I've come across since in entertainment - early Howard Stern comes to mind a bit but in a different vain / medium.
