Alex Weir

IMHO Easily the best live concert movie ever made....(yeah I’m lookin at you, Scorsese and Robertson)....the dearly missed Jonathan Demme‘s direction coupled with Byrne’s conceptual genius and the band’s contagious sense of joy and aerobic antics on stage is transcendent with every viewing.
.....And yes, Alex is great and his rhythmic strums along with Bernie Worell’s cozmik synth adds a Funkadelic sheen to the proceedings...
but In my heart of hearts, I still wish that the version of Talking Heads That immediately preceded this one....with the incomparable Adrian Belew..
that I was lucky Enough to witness live at the Aragon Ballroom , had been captured on film as well....greatest show I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen a few..........

....and you really haven’t lived until you allow yourself, as I just did, to “ sweat with the Heads”...doing my morning workout on my rebounder mini-trampoline while Mimicing Byrne’s manic and inspired choreography........image.jpg
