AKG Headphones Cutting Out - Suggestions?

Have a pair of AKG 271 MKii headphones for about 3 yrs. and the right ear has started cutting in and out when I move my head. If i play with the ear muffs it cuts in/out, the cord is fine, it must be a wire inside? Anyone have a suggestion what I could do, or a similar experience?

Most likely a bad connection somewhere. AKG's warranty is 2 years according to their website, so I'd crack them open and check for a loose wire. The screws that hold each side can together are usually under the ear pad if you take it off.
