AI is just stupid coffee-machine

AI is such a dodo brain - doesn't even know how to do a simple google search which would reveal the correct answer instantly from credible source.

AI is just the newest marketing scam. "Buy our new product, it's got AI built in". "Our new browser has AI, making it faster and more accurate." "Don't get left behind with inferior products, if it doesn't have AI, Oh me oh my.":p

For years, Ray Kurzweil has been working with other top scientists and leading inventors to try to figure out what effect AI will have on mankind, and they have raised a lot of concerns. Corporations, like Google and Microsoft, see that the company that brings a full AI to market first stands to make a HUGE amount of money. Corporate greed and worries for national security are funding the research race; The people in pure research are recommending taking our time. and figuring it out. Kurzweil is controversial, some people don't like what he writes, but his ideas are well worth considering because he's not an idiot. Too bad there's money to be made.
