Adding scene switching ability?

Okay guys, forgive me because I'm not sure if this has been posted here before.
I'm using the MFC-101 2nd gen, the one before the newest. What I'm trying to do is add the ability to change scenes from another spot on stage. I'll have my main pedal board where it will normally be and then have lines to external switches. I'm trying to be able to go to my solo scene, clean scene, and rhythm scene.
I just want a little more freedom on stage and I feel tied to my pedal board.
Any advice you guys can give will be GREATLY appreciated!

Thanks
Shawn

Simply use an external switch (1 up to 4) with long cables connected to the MFC and that's it.
Since it’s a dry signal, there is no voltage drop (unless the switch input it self IS holding few volts) but I guess you will not need a mile long switch so few ft should be no problem.

Would I just use a regular TRS cable? The longest I think I would ever go might be 20 feet.
