Not that I've seen. My Indonesian-made LTD plays better than any US-made LP I've tired out in the last year.

Don’t even get me started. A friend if mine is a master luthier and has been building handmade instruments for over 30 years. Even he thinks the whole tone wood thing is complete bullshit, for the exception of acoustic instruments. Color pigments and sparkly bits affecting tone? LOL.
