80% of the internal Dynacabs i never use.The FM3 Dynacab capacity is tapped out. The other units still have room for cabs but not the FM3.
It would be nice if we had the ability to delete a Dynacab we don’t use and replace it with another cab. Like moving a preset into an occupied space.
An example would be to exchange the 1 X 8 5F1 Tweed for the new Scholz cab.
I bet i use an even lower percentage of the user IRs i have loaded, which is a small fraction of the ones i own.80% of the internal Dynacabs i never use.
That's CabLab.Hi guys, I just had exactly the same idea. The solution might be an extension in the Fractal Edit, with which you can split the individual DynaCab packages, edit them and put them back together to your personal custom package. So everyone can use what they need.
This is a great idea. But what if you could extract an onboard pack to install on the unit. Same 4 mics and same IR positions that the onboard cabs have. This would allow you to use a pack you bought on the unit.
I thought you could only load purchased DynaCabs, edit and then load them to the FM3? That it also works for the DynaCab version, which comes with the firmware update, was not known to me. And I don't think it works with it the way I meant it.That's CabLab.
Not really...That's CabLab.
CabLab can do more than that, understood, but it can do that too, yes? You can save as many single cab "mixes" as you want, and mix them in AxeEdit or on the device. Not really...
He's suggesting splitting out the various DynaCabs from the larger single file and then loading only the cabs you want.
I don't think it will happen, but that's a different discussion.
Cablab exports IRs to the device. It is not capable of exporting Dynacabs. @Furti64 would like to select a subset of Dynacabs to be loaded into the device.CabLab can do more than that, understood, but it can do that too, yes? So you could still use them as dynacabs on the device? You're right that is a different thing, apologies for the misunderstanding.Cablab exports IRs to the device. It is not capable of exporting Dynacabs. @Furti64 would like to select a subset of Dynacabs to be loaded into the device.
That's why on the three, I think it would be so cool to allow you to just pick one purchased Dyna-Cab at a time, even just the four mics currently used on board, to use on board....that would definitely tide me over till the four anyway. And since it would be a user Dyna-Cab, it would not effect factory presets. My understanding is that dynacabs are big, and there's very limited room to add more (though fractal does seem to pull rabbits out of that hat occasionally), and removing any of the factory ones risks breaking both factory and user presets.
It would only be factory ones... There are no 3rd party onboard DynaCabs.removing any of the factory ones risks breaking both factory and user presets
+1
I like the idea of dyna-cab exchange for more user IR slots!
