Oh man, if anyone can nail the Spirit of Radio sound I would be amazed. Never heard one come close. If I remember seems he had a layered track with gtr plugged direct into mixing console and pushed to clip in addition to the other tracks. I'm agreement with you guys, I dont think there was a bad tone on any Rush recording....shaped the player I am today for sure.
