7 pin midi not powering mfc

I got a 7 pin midi cable and im plugging the phantom power into the Axe but the MFC isn't receiving any power. Is there a setting on the mfc or the axe I need to enable to get this working?

Are you plugging the MFC-101's power supply into the connector marked, "Phantom Power to MIDI IN Pins 6+7" on the back of the Axe-FX II?

I'm plugging into the back of the axefx where it says "phantom power". The mfc works fine when I directly power it.

Try to see if your 7 pin midi cable is not one of Rocktron type where some pin gets mixed from one end to another.

Ah, sorry, I had to read the OP again to see that the power supply is indeed being plugged into the back of the Axe-Fx II.

Try a different 7-pin cable, if you have (or can get) one. This worked great for me on the Ultra. I used 7-pin MIDI cables from Best-Tronics.
