5150 iii El34 FM3 Midi Connection Questions

Hi all,
Picked up an EVH 5150 iii EL 34 50 watt head and would like to connect my FM3 via midi to use effects and channel switching.
Any one have any tips on connecting? Do I use 4CM and midi? I have the EVH midi programming instructions and will attempt tonight. PC or CC?

I used to do this on my EVH 6L6 50w. The Fractal makes it simple with the midi block in the editor. Read over the midi instructions in the EVH manual, then map that out in the midi block before trying to send any messages. Once you’ve got it configured (I had mine channel switch when switching scenes), you can press the send or test button (can’t remember what it’s called) in the midi block when going through the button presses on your amp.


Edit: I used 4CM, but I recommend starting with the midi setup first, then add your 4CM effects after. The thing that takes the most work is deciding how you want to use the effects lol. Happy to help if you have more questions!
