4 Cable Method

I'm sure this has been talked about before, but I am looking to pickup an Axe FX II to run in the 4cm with a pair of Mesa TC50 amps. I asked Fractal which product would work for the 4CM and they said either the Axe FX III or II XL+ (not sure if the others were not mentioned because they were discontinued or if they simply wont wont).

Anyone here know if the Axe FX II would work via 4cm or do I need to get the XL+?

Thanks!

But you're asking about using 2 amps in 4CM, not one. I could be wrong, but I'm not sure the Axe Fx II (mkI, mkII, XL or XL+ - by the way ALL discontinued) has enough I/O for that...

Possibly if you're running the same signal to each amp as a stereo rig...

Yep, no problem. As far as I know, every piece of modeling gear Fractal has ever made has enough I/O this. Some people refer to this as the 7CM when you’re running stereo amps.

Guitar > Axe FX Input 1 > FX chain (part 1)
Axe FX Output 2 L/R > dual amp inputs
Amp FX loop sends> Axe FX input 2 L/R > FX chain (part 2)
Axe FX Output 1 L/R > 2 amps FX loop return
