1st Time Updating Firmware With Snoize - Normal To Take Looong Time?

I've always used Axe-Edit to update my firmware. Staying away from Edit for now and it's taking forever to update using Snoize. Is this normal?

Yes. It uses regular MIDI transmissions rates which are pretty slow by modern I/O standards.

There's a speed or delay thingy in there somewhere. If you don't set it to fastest settings it will take a looooonnnnngggg time.

I've personally watched it take well over 20+ minutes on a Mac using Snoize via Midi. Painful.

Win7 + Editor = 2 minutes or less. Done.

Yes. It'll work fine to send in the firmware update.
+1. No issues whatsoever loading this update or 8.01a with AE. It also took less than two minutes total using AE and my iMac. 8.01a loaded just as fast.

I had it set to the fastest setting. I walked away and let it run but it did take 20+ minutes like Scott said. It's done now though!

I primarily wanted to make sure there wasn't a problem I should look for.

Thanks for the responses!
