Love it! I've got 3... 540Power(magenta), 540Saber and the 540Triple Coil....

Out of curiosity, mine have the back-stop system on them. the Power and Saber where ordered new, but I can't recall if the back-stop was an "option"

As far as I know, the Backstop was on all of (at least) the S, R and P series in '87 and '88. I'm not sure about after that. I don't think the RGs had them...

I've got a lot of these guitars from that period (although I sold several in the last couple years) and most had the Backstop removed when I got them or I removed them after purchase.

If you don't use them, you can easily get $200+ for a Backstop.

When I purchased those back in 87/88 it was literally by your typical early teen kid who saved up his lawn cutting money in the neighbourhood.... It was an ad I saw with Satriani and a 540P, that made me want the set hahahaha!!!
