1/4" Unbalanced out from AXE FX II to Balanced XLR input (Mackie HD1221)?

I was wondering if the 1/4" Unbalanced out (Output II) from AXE FX II can be connected to the Balanced XLR inputs on Mackie HD1221? Will it work?

I wanted to use "Output I (Balanced)" on Axe FX II for for FOH and "Output II (Unbalanced)" for my active speakers.

Please advise.

That's what I do. I use short 1/4" TRS to XLR male cables from out 2, then regular xlr cables to my powered speakers.

Out 1 goes to the house.

How short is your cable? Less than 15 feet should be ok, right?

I run 30 feet with no problem.
