    Same here, +1 on the Lukather kit. My strat doesn´t have a Floyd, but I changed the original trem to a Wilkinson, also the tuners are now Gotoh locking tuners. Oh, and I did the 18 V mod for the PUs.

    I did not, I just exchanged the big power supply, that didn´t solve the problem. So I exchanged one of the small power modules next and that was it. Trial and error - or not. Mine made crackling noises and the tweeter cut out. So you might have a different issue. But usually its the power supply.

    FWIW I replaced the original tuners on my R9 with Gotoh locking tuners that had the identical look from the front side. While the guitar did not stay in tune perfectly afterwards it improved tuning stability by approx. 50%. Nonetheless I sold the guitar in the meantime, just didn´t bond with it.

    What do you use for a backup for a gig

    FM9T as backup for the III at big gigs, FM3 as backup for the FM9T at smaller gigs. FM3 serves as desktop unit at home and for jam sessions. That being said, I never needed a backup since gigging with Fractal units for 15 years.

    Thanks! I don´t have an issue like yours, but I´m in the market for a semi-acoustic too. I have a Gibson Blues Hawk that I love the sound of but it goes out of tune easily. I put locking tuners on it, but still...will try these Gotoh locking saddles on it next.
