Anyone using String Joy Strings?

I've been using the 9/5-48's for about 4-5 years now. For me they are the perfect balance. I tend to be a bend-centric lead player so my fingers take less abuse on the hi end and the chunky low feels just right.

FM3 Firmware Version 7.00

I'm stunned how much different the dynamics-cabs perform. I'm gonna have to go down that cab wormhole now....thanks a lot ;) But I am also experiencing my FM3 edit constantly flickering.

Any custom layout ideas for FM3 & FC6?

Hey. Can you describe the process of getting the fc6 to jump to scenes after selecting a preset? I've checked the forums and read the manual but I'm just not understanding the layout link process. Thanks!

Anyone using the Axe-Fx with an Apollo Interface?

Correct. XLR out into the L mic input of the Apollo. Best of both worlds: better AD converters and pre amps of the UA combined with the amazing tones from the axefx. I have the FM3 running the same configuration but to a different input.

Tips for a realistic Spring Reverb sound?

Authentic amp controls - amazing

The 2290 is my go to delay for over 90% of my patches. It’s fantastic. I confess I don’t get to deep into the parameters since I kinda know what sound I’m looking for. Authentic for this pedal would be very cool!

Thanks! Possible bug?? Trying to delete some presets from axe edit and the keyboard shortcut is not working. I have to go into Manage Presets in order to delete. Thoughts?

I might go back to 9s on my guitars

One of my students brought me a pack of Stringjoy 9.5-48s. I haven't looked back since. For me it's the happy medium of easy bending and low end punch. I would seriously give hybrid gauges a run.

New to Fractal - What studio monitors are people using for home use?

I had Neumann KH120's for many years and they were great. After one needed repairs I recently switched to Genelec 8320's and they are fantastic!

FS Avid Artist Control Cheap

Reccomend an External switch with an indicator light?

Perfect! Exactly what I needed. I have it set to engage a filter block with a 3.5 db bump for leads. It does not take a battery however I had an extra AC supply so I run that into the footswitch and the LED works well. Very bright for what it is. I would certainly recommend the switch.

Hey, Just purchased an AX8 to compliment my XL+ in my teaching studio. When I plug the unit into the USB with a shielded USB cable I get a pretty noticible hum thru the Atomic CLR monitor. Dead quiet when not plugged in. It's rather annoying when I'm using Edit or Fractool. Does anyone else...

Wah Calibration Question

Cool. So when I calibrate on the GT16 that's all I need. Something weird is happening with the wah I wondered if it was a calibration issue. It seems to jump quickly to the mid section and sweep to the high end. The low end is almost nonexistent. Thanks again Chris for your help! Mitch
