Is it ok to just power axefx down with axe edit running?

OK this might be a dumb question but often I'll fire up axefx and axe edit throw together a quick patch jam for 10 minutes then just shut the power switch off on the axefx first and then close out axe edit on my pc. No saving or anything. Is that cool?

Bass Mud Distorted

Not sure what I am doing wrong but for some reason in my monitors MAudio BX5a I get an ok bass sound (not great)... I record the track into reaper (no clipping, checking levels running at about -6db) its all mud. Like the tone I get goes bad. I tried mono and stereo signal paths... same thing. I...

Engl 530 Preamp Modeling

TSE had the X30 which I used quite a bit for my 8 string stuff. I always liked the crunch it got me. Anything suggestions on which amp/preamp to start off with to get close? I cannot seem to dial this one in.
