Dinosaur Jr tones?

Here's a stab. First a quick sound ref. and then in context with a backing track. I have the volume cranked so the drive on the Muff is almost off. Start into Focusrite Scarlett and Garageband.

The stock AC 30 preset called Top Boost will get you really close. It has comp, dotted 8th, and shimmer.

We play a couple of Blue album songs. On the AX8 I use a Rat drive effect into a clean amp and it gets really really close. Once clean scene and one drive scene that I go back and forth on. When I saw Weezer live it looked like Rivers was using a Boss Turbo Distortion.

Got the FX8 this week. Fairly easy to get up and running since I am used to the Axe and MFC. The drives are significantly better with the firmware update, make sure you are up to date on firmware. The mod/delay/reverb effects are just awesome. Every bit as good as my Mobius, Timeline, and...

Where are the best U2 presets? Struggling to find a great one.

Hi, check out a couple of presets in the preset banks for a start: I think it's 273 Bad, there is also one for Streets but am not at my Axe right no to check the number. Also, do a search for Axeman. He's a U2 guru and has some great presets posted for older firmware.
