Watching the feed from NAMM - Van Halen 1978 performed at Melbourne Guitar Show 2019 - SIMON HOSFORD

That was great.....so many cover bands out there that make attempts at this. The music was such a wow factor here....immediately stood out for me as the playing and tones sounded great. Nice!

Thanks.... That is what I did. But, bringing the Output up to 18db seems to match where the Output 1 level is set to in the meters. But, still seemed VERY high. I thought just setting Output 2 to Copy Output 1 would give me the one Output 1 block and copy to Output 2-----> but when I adjust...

Looks great! Liking this size setup as well.... I still have my AX8 board being dismantled to go with a duo 17. This is the most compact I can make with what I have accumulated. Just need to order a Duo 17. Was using the G50 and had the same power supply.

Is Axe-Fx III at all portable?

I bring mine to and from the studio for practice in a 4u case with a Matrix power amp. Best to leave an extra speaker at the practice space to use for it or the ability to go FOH if you have a nice PA to listen through during rehearsals to adjust tones. Very easily can be carried in and out so...

Tuner Poll

I have always preferred the naming as Flats as I got used to some of the rack tuners also having the offset button. Most of my guitars are 1/2 step down so having an offset button would work or the ability to read flats across all notes is quick and efficient.

Output knob setting?

Level across presets for me is usually at -12db Out 1 to FOH seems to be at 11 o’clock most times with enough headroom. Out 2 to my monitors is set to taste (Matrix gt1000fx levels set to 12noon)

Also..... check the CAB block. The preset that you got may have had a CAB IR that you do not have. Replace with another IR if it is not there. Most common issue when sharing presets.

Exactly what I have been doing..... make sense and much easier when applying a starting point. I typically do that same. For my AX8 I had to do things a bit different and had different presets because of horsepower. But, with AxeII and AxeIII I have always built the 'kitchen sink' preset...

Opinion - Flat v. Angled Pedalboard for FC-12?

I have used both but I like my board flat mainly because of the expression pedals (2 mission pedals). Since the FC has a slight angle it is fine for me staying with a flat board.
