What Power amp and cab should I Use with AXE FX Ultra

Matrix GT800FX for poweramp and EVM12L loaded cabinet is pretty liked choice. I just got 2x12 EVM12L cabinet so can't say my own opinion before our bands next rehersal.

MATRIX GT800FX + ULTRA + CAB?

What do you folks think: are EV'S better on open or closed back 2x12 cab? I kind of like to move to 1/3 open back, because i use pretty much blackface patches. Also i dont like a way that closed back directs sound too much. I now have matrix with 2x12 Koch closed back cab (V30 and G12H heritage...

Atomic 50/50 vs. MATRIX GT800FX

IMHO Matrix is better with distortion and Atomic better with clean. Based on Mark's videos though... Both are quite close tonally. Did Mark use global eq with Matrix? PaulMapp's global eq tips will make Matrix sound even more tube like.

Great news. BTW, didn't you have V30 + H30 cab with Matrix (and Axe-fx)? Do you have any good presets to share for that combination? Just to get me started... I'm not quite satisfied of my presets yet, though im getting there slowly.

Great info! I was scared that i need a power load for unused channel. Is it best to use Matrix in mono or stereo (Axe to Matrix input 1 -- Matrix output 1 to guitar cab) mode, or does it really matter? I swear this is my last stupid question...

Thanks again. I have couple of questions still: 1) How high can you put Matrix channel volume (I think i will drive Matrix mono at first) with those speakers? Rough estimation is good enough. I would not want to blow any speakers... I have to 16ohm speaker in paraller wiring, so the cab is...

GT800FX with Koch Cab I'm intrested to hear what you think about this (GT800FX with Koch Cab) combination, because i will also use soon to come Matrix with Koch 212 closed cab. I have changed one speaker to G12H heritage though. I'm using Axe standard BTW.

Whats a not so expensive but good Power Amp?

If mono will suffice, how about Atomic reactor monoblock. List price in EU 599€. As usual, US price are much lower.
