What's your opinion on these interfaces?

I just checked out the apogee one compared to the duet. As far as i can see the one has only one input for connecting up a xlr cable or 1/4 jack and a built in microphone you can use to record too and also has usb not firewire. The duet as far as i know has not got a built in mic like the one...

hi Monchito, I also own a apogee duet, and definately +1 to " It just works". The thing is just rock solid and sounds very impressive. I also have a presonus firestudio interface which is just for anything requiring more inputs etc. it is no where near the quality of my duet but still ok. I...

Axe standard - first recording with it

Thanks rkbrock - I usually am in drop d or c ( prs se) but I was using my ibanez rga prestige which is set up for drop B, I have Seymour duncab JB and jazz pickup in it. For some reason it doesnt sound as meaty as the stock prs se but i was pretty happy with this patch going through my ibanez

How connect Apogee Duet (v1) to Macbook Pro

I have the old duet too w macbook pro, it should come with a firewire 400 to 800 adapter. if you havent got one you should be able to pick one up from your local music store

Help! Reference Monitors...

If it helps I have krk rpg2 6's and my old man has the mackie mr5's. I have been really happy with them and up until recently only used them for recording. I now have an axe std and use my rokits for monitoring. I found the krk's a little bass heavy compared to the mackies but both excellent...
